As long as I have been working in business, I have always dreamt of being in charge of my destiny and being part of something which helps others.  I have spent over 26 years at various companies, from retail, manufacturing, service, distribution.  Most recently after two buyouts, the last one in 10/11, I found myself unemployed for the first time since I was 16 years old.  With a world of experience under my belt, I quickly learned that finding an opportunity to match my skills was not readily forthcoming, and I wound up taking odd jobs to make ends meet.  

This was a scary time, considering my partner, Angie, had recently left a good-paying job with AT&T, where she worked for 12 plus years as a regional manager.  She was given the option to relocate to Chicago and uproot the family or stay and find something new.  Luckily, Angie, had been working part-time building Harmony Harbor Coaching (HHC), fulfilling her true passion of helping others!!!

Through all the changing conditions, from two guaranteed salaries down to none, I wanted to support her and her vision of making a difference, while helping others achieve success too.  Though I had been helping Angie along the way, it wasn’t until an inventory management job opportunity fell through that “reality” started to sink in, that I might not find a job!  

I was very down on myself and felt a bit lost.  The turning point was when Angie came up with the idea to bring me in to HHC as a full- time employee to help in a variety of support roles, Marketing, Social Media, data entry, customer service, etc…  I had to think about it for a bit because, truth be told, it is sometimes difficult to work with your spouse.  The position was going to afford me the opportunity to learn something new and grow, while supporting my partner to pursue her dream, and in essence allow me to pursue mine of being my own boss.  Customer Service had always been a BIG part of my past experience, and I have always taken a great deal of pride in helping others!  So, I accepted the offer and began working in April 2013.  

Having been in the company for about 1.5 years and exposed to the principals for much, much longer, I have learned many tricks to further myself, things such as, managing my emotions, attaining a higher level of  gratitude, seeing my strengths and not dwelling on my weaknesses,  building relationship skills, letting go of anger and control/past hardships,  releasing perfectionism,  doing a self care routine, just to name a few.
I see the future as being a continuum of change, growth and evolution which will enable us to guide our clients to overcome and master fears, limiting beliefs and reduce the mind clutter that keeps them bogged down.  Of course, this journey starts with me.

I am very proud to witness and be a part of amazing transformation in people’s lives!  Thank you so much, Angie, for the opportunity!
