This week I was drawn to a book, "A Complaint Free World." I had been asking God/Source
to show me how to think about time and money and love and that there is enough of it.
One day I feel there is plenty, and the next day I may be concerned about one of my daughter's
expensive medical bills. This is just where I'm at, although I must say that now most days I'm
not worried about money. So I'm moving in the right direction.
I still wonder at the end of a
busy day if I spent my time wisely. I think maybe I could have done more.
This is another reflection of the feeling of I'm not enough. I know that when we clearly set
our intentions and mostly stay positive about the outcome without much worry, the Universe
unequivocally delivers, and the less worry, the more it accurately delivers.
So by making
it clear that I wanted to feel abundance of time, money and love, I was saying that I want to
feel like I'm enough! So guess what showed up? This amazingly wise little book by
Will Bowen, A Complaint Free World. I was actually reading another book by
Deepak Chopra, that my daughter asked me if she could read and take to school.
If that weren't an odd enough request, I don't know what is! So I went to peruse my
book shelf and found this book.
I just started attempting to monitor my complaints on
Tuesday of this week, and let me tell you, it's much harder than it looks.
I thought I was a very positive person (and relatively speaking, maybe I am), but boy was
it a shock to me! I find the tiniest nuisances get to me. Look out because you will be
shocked if you decide to take up the challenge.
I've been telling my clients and friends
about it all week long, and many are taking me up on it. My daughter, Maddie, is doing it,
but Steve and Chelsea are reluctant. I know that the key to my success is to discover
the amazing love inside of me, and I believe that is why I was lead to this book.
Love truly is the answer to everything.
If you're like me at all, on some days you feel
very disconnected and you feel like a mischievous, little devil. Some times I just want
to pout and stomp my feet and be a little kid and say, I told you so or you started it.
What I'm really saying is that I'm fearful, I'm insecure, pay attention to me because I
don't feel loved enough.
I need you to treat me a certain way, and I need circumstances to line up just so that I
can feel safe.
I engage this side of me more than I care to admit, but I didn't realize it
until I started the 21 day challenge I'm about to tell you about. Let's get really honest here.
Most of us live our lives with a little kid at the reins because our beliefs were formed at
childhood, and the average age of our subconscious is 12. This means we must make
a conscious decision to live as adults, and this requires re-programming.
Per Will Bowen
in the book, "Many people are an 'ouch!' looking for a hurt. If you cry 'ouch,' the hurt will
show up. If you complain, you'll receive more to complain about. It's the Law of Attraction
in action. As you...leave complaining behind, as you are no longer an 'ouch' looking for
a hurt, your life will unfold for you like a beautiful spring flower."
So here's what I challenge you to do. Do not verbally complain, criticize or gossip for
21 days straight. This may take several months to string together 21 days, since you
must start over each time you do. Bowen suggests you get a complaint free bracelet
(ordered at www.complaintfreeworld.org) and move it from wrist to wrist as you complain.
This is a pattern interrupt.
You can start now before you get the bracelet. Use a rubber
band or use a trinket that you move from pocket to pocket. I know you can do this!
