Do you feel like isolating?

Angie Monko - Saturday, April 30, 2016

It's been storming the last couple of days.  When
that happens, my dog, Mars, stays very close to
me.  He cuddles into a ball and lodges himself
into small, closed spaces.

Don't we do that too when we're afraid?  We
will sometimes stay in bed, isolate ourselves
because it doesn't feel safe to be around others.

Because we lack confidence, we won't
reach out to others and feel like we belong. We
won't pick up the phone and try to grow our
business.  It's our version of curling up in a ball.

What can we do about it?  One thing we can do
is identify what we're afraid of and find another
way to think about it. A fresh perspective!

"If you change the way you look at things, the
things you look at change." Wayne Dyer

Ask yourself:  Are things REALLY as bad as they
seem?  What is the next action step you can take
to shift your thinking?  We can't be resourceful
and find solutions if we don't feel safe in the Universe.

We can't find solutions and be creative if we are
Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired (HALT).  If you're in
this state of mind, get some food, some exercise,
some connection, some sleep.  Honor your needs.

To feel SAFE in the world requires you to feel OK
in your body, in your physical environment, and in
your ability to have your physical needs provided for.

In other words, to feel SAFE, you also need to feel
like you have enough money to survive. If one area
of your physical life is lacking, you won't feel safe, and
you'll want to curl up in a ball, just like Mars.

Stay tuned for more articles in May about safety. In
the meantime, know that ALL IS WELL and you Truly
ARE safe and loved.

Love,

Angie
